SAE / Media Specialist
In the role of mid-level media specialist, you will leverage your relationships with the press to secure news coverage for a variety of clients with truly newsworthy stories to tell. Our deep client roster centers on biopharma, medtech, and diagnostic companies advancing innovative concepts and emerging technologies that often change the landscape of treatment and care.
Our hands-on environment ensures that pitching is a shared responsibility, and a craft that is to be cultivated through training and regular interaction with the press. Thus, this role will include sharing your knowledge and experiences to better the media IQ of the agency. You will also be expected to dedicate time to building on your own body of knowledge through workshops and networking events. Internally, you will work alongside veterans of PR and media with decades of experience and extensive contacts.
In an industry where creating and fostering relationships is paramount, we understand the delicate balance between our clients’ interests and preserving our relationships with reporters/editors/ producers that are critical to our success.
The role does include some account work, but the scope is closely monitored to ensure that you remain focused on counseling clients on media strategy and pitching. That said, the specialist is expected to have a comprehensive understanding of clients’ business and market dynamics, including competitive landscape. This role will also be responsible for writing materials ranging from press releases, standby statements, op-eds, and bylined articles.
